Great movie! It cracked me up and I thoroughly enjoyed it. A great premise to start with, and then the development of the main character is solid and makes you really feel for him.  Overall, II loved the style, the characters, the plot. I wish more science fiction movies could take after it...

made in 1985. this movie has reviews on IMDB and rottentomatoes that make it sound fantastic. don't beleive the hype, this movie sucked. Kinda like a Clockwork Orange, but clockword orange, while too discombobulated for me, at least at some redeeming qualities - this movie is significantly worse. Why does it get such amazing ratings, both on IMDB and rottentomatoes? Simply unbelievable to me...

i thought this movie was pretty darn awful. just terribly cheesy at times and although at first it captivated me, by the end i had lost interest

by George R. R. Martin

I didn't realize this was the first of 7 planned novels (series called A Song of Ice and Fire) so I was annoyed when I reaized after 600 pages (with about 220 left) that this was just the beginning. The book was quite enrapturing, its the first fantasy I've read in over 10 years, and I see how people can get hooked. Wow, lots of sex. I didn't remember fantasy having sex in it when I was a kid. Maybe they didn't...

Anyway, although I enjoyed many parts, I won't continue the series but mostly because I don't have time to read 820 page books that don't contain equations and numbers.
