Jet's Reviews: Blood Diamond

the film was entertaining and is quite well done. i disapproved of some of the writing (the hardened character Danny Archer (DiCaprio) was far too weak to be believable at times), and I felt that the film was working a bit too hard to make battles dramatic rather than depicting the reality of it.

Finally, it was too long (2h23m!). There were definitely scenes that should have been cut to keep the story on track.

But these are typical hollywood flaws I have come to expect, and I still enjoyed the film.
