Nikki D. is a versatile, multi-lingual vocalist specializing in Bossa Nova, French jazz, and familiar standards, often singing songs in their native languages, including Portugese, Italian, French and Spanish. She also likes to spice things up by throwing in some funk and r&b. (I saw Nikki sing an opera recital last spring, and let me tell you - the girl's got pipes!)
This is going to be a cool, gritty night - it's not set in stone yet, but the show may be just upright bass and vocals. Perfect for a crispy, brisk November night with a hot drink...
Egan's Ballard Jam House is a swanky, intimate black-box style venue on Market St. in Ballard. There's good food, good wine, and good tunes. Come early - previous times we've sold the place out. If you don't get in at first, check back later in the night, as the crowd turns over during the breaks!
