Nice place for a beer. The place definitely has a blue collar feel to it which is a refreshing change from time to time. A friend of mine has a shop near by, so I find myself there with some frequency.
I'd suggest avoiding Friday evenings as it seems a frat boy contingency tends to descend then, unless you are into that sort of thing. They don't materialize every Friday, but it has happened to me more than once.

The Slooper just can't be beat. The bar tends to turn a little bit u-district-ish on the weekends though. I definitely prefer it during the week when it's a low-key, friendly affair. Great food too!

Yeah I liked this place too... their "slooper" is $5.50 for 32 oz. of any microbrew on tap, I had a mac-n-jacks, hard to beat that... went here on a friday, parking was easy, it was full but not too crowded. Gotta love the booths to sit at. Electronic darts, interesting video games, pretty fun.

Fun hangout...the beer is cheap and ridiculously large. But beware of flying billiard balls.
