Seattle Restaurant Reviews: Dick's Drive-In

something keeps me coming back, even though they aren't as cheap as the other fast food places and their food doesn't seem much better. but i just find it so easy, "i'd like a vanilla shake, fries and a cheeseburger." it's what i always get, and it's somehow very satisfying.
i also heard they pay their employees fair and have generally good business practices, so i don't feel guilty about eating there for those reasons at least.

Bad parking, bad service, nowhere to eat, limp fries, burger nothing special...and they make you pay for the ketchup.  Is this America?

The perfect place to get all the salt and grease you want in a fast-food meal without subsidizing some evil mega-corporation. Many's the time I've hauled up to the Wallingford Dick's for a late afternoon snack when I've had to work late.

At last—a fast-food joint that doesn't incinerate their French fries to hollow sticks of carbon. For you soda cognoscenti, the Wallingford and Seattle Center locations serve soft drinks with crushed ice, though not all do. I have not sampled their shakes, but reviews from people I know are consistently positive. While the menu is quite limited, it clearly streamlines the service as well: at Dick's, you can start out eighth in line and still have your meal in hand, French fries exuding warm, translucent patches of grease onto the bag, two or three minutes later.

i like the burgers and shakes, but the fries are super duper greasy and soggy...

Great place to go late night. I like the simplicity of the menu, it makes their service very fast, even when they have a massive line outside.

I like the fries, they aren't fried twice like the fries at most restaurants. The burgers are simple, but good.

Hang-over cure:

1 Dick's Deluxe
1 Small Fry
1 Strawberry Milkshake
1 Tarter Sauce

Eat slowly while lying on the floor. 

one of my fav places to get a late night snack! wish they had more variety in their menu though.. also, i find jack in the box burgers more flavorful than the ones that they have here.. : p

Yeah Dick's!  There is nothing better than a Dick's deluxe.  I love pickle mayo.  How many of us have waited at 1:55am with a long line behind us, lucky enough to get one of the last burgers before closing time?
