Seattle Restaurant Reviews: Jade Garden

My first attempt at dim sum in seattle was at Jade Garden.  It was very crowded on a Sunday morning and we had to wait about 45 minutes before being seated.  I wasn't blown away by the dim sum, but it wasn't bad.  I'd go back again, although maybe later on to avoid the crowds.

Agreed, one of the best in Seattle.  It's no secret tho, so expect it to be pretty packed Saturdays and Sundays.  Recommend coming earlier like 11AM or a bit later like 1PM if you want to avoid the madness (which my folks aren't afraid of facing!).  And of course there's the usual Chinatown parking fiasco, so be prepared to circle, circle, circle...

If I'm not feeling like fighting for parking or a table, I'll just hop to New Kowloon up the street, where there's a private parking lot, and plenty of tables.  Their dim sum is slightly worse but not bad at all.

One of the best dim sum places in Seattle, conveniently located in the heart of Chinatown.  Dinner is decent but nothing special.  The weekend dim sum is what draws the crowd--and boy does it ever.  Reservations highly recommended unless you like waiting 45 minutes for a table.
