With tonight's deployment you now have the ability to preview a Zvite before you send it out.  This lets you upload pictures and preview how everything looks before the Zvite is sent out.

 

Bug fix: All post-event comments should have a yellow background now.  Previously some were missing the highlighting.

New to Zoji: your event list.  Now you can view all your event invitations and personal notes in list form, see which events have pictures and comments (and how many), and filter the list based on a few criteria (currently, all events, upcoming ones, past ones, and upcoming ones you haven't responded to yet).

To see your event list you can click the "events: view" link on your home page actions box in the upper left, or through the "View your Events" link in your upcoming events box, or in the submenu of the Eventz tab.

There's a few more filters I'm thinking about adding (e.g. view just the events you organized, only events with pictures, exclude personal notes / personal notes only).  If you have any other views you'd like to see, leave a comment on this post and let me know.

Dan also added a toggle to the groups list so you can see all groups or only ones in your area and non-area-specific groups.

With last night's rollout:

• Automatic image resizing before upload. Now if you use the multi-file uploader, your pictures will be auto-resized locally before they're uploaded to Zoji, because smaller file sizes means faster uploading.  I know some of you (including myself) have had to use Photoshop to manually resize pics before uploading for this exact reason.  No more!  Now you should notice a significant improvement in upload speed because Zoji does it all for you (and because Kevin's a stud).  For example, you drag-and-drop a bunch of pics from your camera, each of them are like 4MB files.  Instead of uploading a 4 megabyte file that takes forever, it gets resized down to like a 100KB file, then uploaded.  So if slow speed ever prevented you from uploading pics, there's no more excuse!  Now you can upload away.
• Some clarification on the Move Pictures functionality.

Last night we released a "clone event" feature, by popular demand.  This comes in handy if you want to create an event that is similar to an older one (similar location or invitee list) and don't want the hassle of having to create a new Z-vite from scratch.  Basically you go to an old event, click "clone this event", and it will take you to the Z-vite create page, with all the information pre-populated except the date.  Make whatever tweaks you need, hit submit, and you're good to go.

We've got some new goodies for you:

• Alternate view modes for people tables.  Pages with lists of people (e.g. your friends list, the new Zoji people list, etc.) now have a little view picker in the upper right that lets you switch between Details view, Large Pics, and Small Pics.  Each view is best suited for different purposes, from seeing detailed information (details) to quick navigation (small pics).  Give it a whirl!
• If you've been using Zoji's email consolidation feature (i.e. you've hooked up Zoji to your Hotmail, Yahoo, or Gmail accounts), the New Messages box on your homepage will now alert you to new mail in your external accounts.  Nifty.
