Stat was 3rd.  There wasn't anything for Biostat, but Genetics was 1st, and Epidemiology was 2nd.

Hot damn—UW is first in genetics!  Not sure whether statistical genetics falls under "Genetics" or "Epidemiology," though.

GO HUSKIES!!!!

Sunday, March 13, 2005 10:05 PM

To all my dawgs,

WOW! Can you believe we are seeded #1 in the NCAA tournament? After an awesome victory against the Arizona Wildcats yesterday, I am rather shocked that the selection committee chose us. It is a great time to be University of Washington Huskies fan. With Tyrone Willingham at the helm of the football team and the L-squared doing a phenomenal job with Nate, Tre and the rest of the gang, we are very blessed to have them both.

For too long, I've seen both our programs get the crap kicked out of them. Back in '93 when I first attended U-Dub, the basketball court was so quiet during play you could hear the squeeking sound of the basketball shoes rubbing against the hardcourt surface. I doubt you could hear that anymore. Now you hear the rumbling stampede of 6,000 fans at Hec-Ed.

As for football, as soon as you entered Husky Stadium, you could hear the thundering roar of 77,000 purple and gold fans. I doubt you could have heard this for the past 2 years...until now.

Well gang, I've got my tourney aimed for our boys to win it all (I know that is stretch and I am guaranteed a loss of my 20 bucks, but hey, it is all about fan support).

Peace,

Yogi
